Record, a subsidiary of the ASSA ABLOY group, designs and manufactures access automation solutions for buildings. Following its integration into the ASSA ABLOY group, the company undertook a major transformation of its information system to align its infrastructure and standards with the group's.
Within a four-person Infrastructure team, I contributed to modernization, security, and migration projects for the virtualization platforms, Citrix infrastructure, and VMware environments.
Mission
Administered and evolved the Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops infrastructure as well as the VMware virtualization platform supporting the company's user and server environments.
Contributed to numerous projects related to Record's integration into the ASSA ABLOY group: Active Directory migration, infrastructure renewal, server hardening, deployment industrialization, and improving technical documentation.
In parallel, provided level 3 support for complex incidents related to systems and virtualization infrastructure.

Key achievements
- Administered and evolved a Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops infrastructure based on Windows 10 VDIs created with Machine Creation Services (MCS).
- Contributed to Record's integration program within the ASSA ABLOY group, including Active Directory infrastructure migration.
- Integrated and administered new VMware ESXi servers to support the virtualization platform renewal.
- Analyzed and resolved Citrix platform issues to improve the stability and performance of user environments.
- Migrated and modernized existing Citrix farms.
- Built a dedicated Citrix platform for development and validation (DEV / TEST) environments.
- Industrialized master image updates used for VDIs and published servers.
- Contributed to the progressive migration of some VDI environments to published servers where better suited to business needs.
- Administered and updated Citrix ADC (NetScaler) appliances.
- Managed the Dell thin client fleet and drove the replacement of the oldest equipment.
- Handled level 3 infrastructure incidents requiring advanced expertise in Citrix, VMware, and Windows Server.
- Strengthened virtual machine security compliance, acting as the technical reference on the topic.
- Created and structured a Confluence documentation space for the entire IT department (Infrastructure, Development, and Support), centralizing procedures, technical architecture, and best practices.
