Overview
The IT Support and Maintenance Technician program trains versatile IT and user-support professionals. It teaches how to install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and networks, while ensuring data security and connectivity. CORE SKILLS
Technical skills: proficiency with client operating systems (Windows 10/11, Linux, etc.) and fundamental networking knowledge, including Active Directory administration (password management, data access, etc.) as well as application deployment and monitoring. Rigorous management of the full IT fleet (stock management, automated inventory, warranties, etc.) and day-to-day resolution of users' technical issues.
Soft skills: communication and empathy to understand user needs and support them in using IT tools. Autonomy and versatility to handle a variety of tasks. Curiosity and motivation, with a strong drive to learn.
WHERE THIS ROLE IS PRACTICED
This role is exercised within the IT departments of small and medium businesses, across any industry, reporting to the IT manager or the administrative and financial director. In larger companies and IT service providers (ESN), the support or technical lead is often the main point of reference.
